What is the best?

Selection of the very best attractions of the world might seem to be a subjective and rather unscientific occupation. After all - beauty is in the eye of beholder. Some might get even embarassed by such lists if they see that their beloved and highly esteemed (and no doubts - deservedly belowed and esteemed!) landmarks are not in the list.

But from the other side - such lists always are much sought by everyone. Such lists may influence family vacation trips, school project or even serious scientific work. Thus - lists of the best attractions always will be subjective but they are interesting, useful and thus they are worth to exist.

Lists of the best of the best are arranged here according to two classifications: by location and by the kind of attraction. Some lists might be represented in both classes, some just in one.
