WorldBlue  Highlights

RĂ©union is one of overseas departments of France. This island is located in the Indian Ocean.

In spite of its small size, this island offers rather diverse landmarks. The most impressive landmarks in Réunion are the numerous supertall waterfalls in forest-covered, incredibly deep canyons and ravines. Some of the world’s tallest waterfalls are located on this small island. This phenomenon is possible due to extreme cliffs and very abundant rainfall.

Very interesting is also the Piton de la Fournaise volcano which sometimes pours its lava directly into the Indian Ocean.
