Submerged atoll that starts some 4.3 km southwest from Saba island. This is the largest submerged atoll in Atlantic, with numerous endemic species of marine life.

The cloud forest on the tiny island of Saba in the Northeastern Caribbean is unique in the region, but little scientific research has been conducted. The author, a biologist, and conservationist who has resided on the island since 1986 has compiled available information on the cloud forest and supplemented this with his own observations. In particular, he describes the impact of major hurricanes and how the forest evolved following these hurricanes.
