Saba is a special municipality of the Kingdom of Netherlands.
This island is spectacular, with no even place on it - Saba is a summit of an extinct volcano, rising 877 m above the sea. Island is covered with lush vegetation and dotted with cosy villages. There are few specific landmarks, Saba rather is a landmark as a whole.
- Elfin Forest Reserve - high altitude forest with almost eternal mist. Crooked trees here are covered with mosses, ferns and other plants.
- Juancho E. Yrausquin Airport - one of the riskiest commercial airports in the world. Runway is 400 m short and flanked by steep cliffs.
- Saba Bank - submerged atoll, which starts some 4.3 km southwest from Saba island. This is the largest submerged atoll in Atlantic, with numerous endemic species of marine life.
