The largest known deocar cedar (Cedrus deodara) with a circumference of approximately 14.5 m, height – approximately 30 m.

Stoutest known Himalayan mulberry (Morus serrata) with a circumference of 21.5 m. This sacred tree is believed to be 1,200 years old.

One of holiest Hindu shrines, devoted to god Vishnu. Built in the 9th century AD. Ornate, brightly painted shrine with hot sulphur springs below it.

Roopkund – Skeleton Lake

The mysterious Roopkund Lake, India

At this glacial lake at great height were found more than 500 skeletons of pilgrims. These people died around the 12th – 15th century AD. Further studies of the damages to their skulls have shown that these people died from sudden hailstorms – there was no shelter and people died from falling iceballs.
