Leang Tedongnge
A limestone cave in a secluded karst gorge. In this cave has been found the oldest known painting made by man. This painting is at least 45 500 years old and shows a group of three wild pigs, most likely Sus celebensis.
Nusa Dua Water Blow
A narrow channel in the seaside cliffs. At the end of the channel, waves crash against the cliff wall creating a huge splash – fountain. At rough weather, the view and sound can be very impressive. The enormous splash can be more than 15 m tall and has a huge mass of water.
Devil’s Tear
Small sea bay with overhanging cliffs. At high tide and stormy weather the waves create powerful surges and fountains and rise a powerful roar.
Aouk-Kladuk Underground River
World’s most powerful underground river. Aouk-Kladuk Underground River is some 1.5 kilometres long. The stream has a volume of 130 – 180 cubic meters.
Keek sinkhole
One of the tiankengs of Aouk Underground River. Keek sinkhole is bell-shaped hollow that is some 160-180 m deep, its volume is 1.4 million cubic meters.
Hafasu Tiankeng
One of the tiankengs of Aouk Underground River. Hafasu Tiankeng is some 100 m deep, with a volume of 12 – 15 million cubic meters.
Kuom Tiankeng
One of the tiankengs of Aouk Underground River. Kuom Tiankeng is some 100 – 160 m deep, with a volume of 15 – 20 million cubic meters.
Aouk Underground River
Amazing system of more than 6 km long underground passages with one of the most powerful underground rivers in the world. System has three tiankengs.
Kelimutu – volcano with differently colored crater lakes
System of three closely located crater lakes. Each of the lakes has a different, changing color – from bright red to green and blue.
Liang Bua – the cave of the mysterious Homo floresiensis
In the cave (and only here) there were discovered remnants of a newly discovered, extinct species of human – Homo floresiensis.
