Volcanic fissure – a clearly visible fissure – that in 1783 – 1784 was the site of one of the largest and most destructive eruptions in modern times. Eruption was coming simultaneously from 130 craters.

Beautiful, approximately 40 m tall waterfall with two main cascades. It was a true wonder with a thin natural arch over the falls – unfortunately this arch collapsed in 1993.

Waterfall of unusual beauty. It is approximately 80 m high and 40 – 50 m wide. The water slides down along a moss-covered cliff.

Some 3 m high and 170 m wide waterfall with numerous small, green islands. This waterfall is like an oasis in the otherwise deserted landscape.

Waterfall on Þjórsá River that here is some 220 m wide. Waterfall is approximately 2 m high, the most impressive part is some 130 m wide. In the waterfalls stand several islands.
