Enormous coast redwood (Sequoia sempervirens (D. Don) Endl.) with large 1.83 x 2.64 m hole carved in the 1930s – car can drive through it. Height of the tree – 84 m.

Methuselah tree

Grove of very old Great Basin bristlecone pines, California

Great Basin bristlecone pine (Pinus longaeva D.K.Bailey). The oldest announced individual tree in world, 4,851 years old. It is highly possible that in the grove are older trees – there is reported a tree “Prometheus” that is 4900 years old (in Nevada, Wheeler Peak) and rumoured another one that is 5069 years old (in 2019).
