Mount Bosavi Crater

Forested volcano (some 4 km wide and 1 km deep) that is isolated from other highlands of Papua New Guinea. Here in the montane forest live numerous species of plants and animals that are not met anywhere else in the world, including the 82 cm long Bosavi Wooly Rat and fish that emits grunting noise.

Yasuni Forest

Possibly the most biodiverse area in the world. In this rainforest, the diversity of reptiles, amphibians, freshwater fishes, birds, mammals, and vascular plants (with 2,700 – 4,000 species of plants per hectare) reaches their maximum for Western Hemisphere and often – world. Uncontacted tribes live in the forest. Endangered and affected by oil extraction.

Yosemite Horsetail Fall

Very tall, seasonal waterfall that in the late February, if the weather allows, is illuminated by the sunset. Waterfall is 650 m tall, tallest cascade – 480 m tall.

Caverne Patate

The longest cave in Mauritius, 1 140 m long. It is adorned with stalactites and stalagmites. The cave is known since the 18th century and here have been found bones of extinct animals. Legends about the treasure hidden in it.

Kaive Oak (Senci Oak)

Tree with the largest girth in Latvia and Baltic states – at 1.3 m height this oak (Quercus robur) has a circumference of 10.55 m (2019).

Wadi El Rayan Falls

Largest waterfall in Egypt, group of cascades on some 6 – 10 m wide river. Total height less than 10 m.

Tugela Falls

The second tallest waterfall in the world. Total height of 948 meters and the largest single drop of 411 meters, and a river width of 3-15 meters.

North-West Eifuku Champagne Vent

A submarine vent on a volcano that emits almost pure liquid carbon dioxide at 1,600 m depth. Such phenomenon is known in three places on Earth and at Eifuku it is most abundant.
