This 62 m tall tower was constructed in 1929 in Art Deco and Neo-Gothic styles, with lush ornamentation. Around the tower in the 1920ies has been set a beautiful garden.

Outstanding avenue of enormous oaks. Avenue is more than one kilometer long and leads towards one of the oldest plantations in the United States – Boone Hall. Planting of the avenue was completed in 1843.

One of the oldest existing plantations in the United States, founded in 1681. The stately plantation house was built in 1935-1936 in a Colonial Revival style. Stories about ghostly apparitions around the kiln of the plantation. A famous feature of the park is Avenue of Oaks – more than one kilometer long, gorgeous avenue of moss-covered oaks.

One of the oldest and most prominent landscaped gardens in the United States. Park was developed around a plantation house since 1741.

Poseokjeong

Poseokjeong, South Korea

Site of once beautiful royal pavilion of Silla Kingdom. The most interesting feature today here is a system of small water channels. Here in earlier times, cups with alcohol were floated – when this cup reached a person standing at the channels, this person had to drink and recite a poem.

Namhansanseong

Well preserved, impressive mountain fortress that now is adorned with parks and temples. The first known fortress was built here in 672 AD. Current structures have been constructed mainly in the 17th – 18th century. Since 1954 here is a park with fine views of Seoul.

Las Pozas (Xilitla)

Unique park in surrealist style, created by Edward James in the early 1940ies – 1980ies. Park basically is very picturesque rainforest with numerous waterfalls and surrealist sculptures.

Xochimilco

Unique monument of urban planning inherited from Aztec times. Here has been preserved the network of ancient channels with chinampas – island gardens. Channels are traveled by special boats – trajineras. Channels and islands contain endemic plants and animals including unique salamander – axolotl (Ambystoma mexicanum).

Tetzcotzingo

Tetzcotzingo, "greenhouse"

One of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. Imperial summer gardens for Aztec emperors of nearby Texcoco. Developed in the 15th century as a collection of plants and animals. Includes very impressive and unusual waterworks and other structures to sustain the diverse life forms.
