Loltun Cave
Cave with some of the best Mayan cave paintings as well more ancient carvings and remnants of prehistoric animals hunted by Paleoindians.
Con Moong Cave
Cave with two large entrances, site of prehistoric settlement of the late Paleolithic and Neolithic Sơn Vi and Hoa Binh cultures, more than 10 thousand years old.
Karahunj (Zorats Karer)
Megalithic necropolis from the 3rd – 2nd millenia BC (?). Contains a ring of upright stones. Some 223 stone tombs are here, from the Middle Bronze Age to Iron Age. Many stones have holes in them and there is a hypothesis that these holes were used in ancient astronomy.
Morongo Uta
One of the most impressive inland fortifications in Rapa Iti, built around 1500 AD on the top of 258 m high mountain. This small island has 13 – 14 prehistoric mountaintop fortifications.
Kalambo Falls
221 – 235 m tall, single plunge waterfall. The second tallest uninterrupted fall in Africa. Important archaeological site – a site of human settlement since 300 000 BC, starting from Acheulian culture.
Bhimbetka cave shelters
Group of caves containing a rich collection of cave art, up to 9,000 years old. Some caves have been inhabited for more than 100,000 years.
