El Capitan
Granite monolith with 900 m tall, vertical wall. One of the most challenging climbing routes in the world.
Devils Postpile
Cliff of very well-formed columnar basalt. This cliff resembles a heap of vertically placed piles.
Half Dome
Granite dome rising 1,444 m tall above the surroundings. One side of the dome looks as if sheared down, thus the mountain resembles a dome that is divided in half.
Mount Dickey east face
1,600 m tall granite wall that rises over a horizontal distance of 800 m.
Table Rock SC
970 m tall mountain with a fairly flat surface and steep slopes of monolithic granite. This mountain is a batholith – fragment of magma that was pressed upwards during the Ordovician period some 430 million years ago.
Peachtree Rock
An unusual mushroom rock that stood on a narrow leg and resembled an overturned pyramid. It was some 6 m high. The rock fell in December 2013.
Mangi Tungi
Very impressive cliffs with two peaks, with numerous historical and art values. Contain forts and numerous Jain temples.
Ratangad
Cliff – peak at the summit, with a "needle hole" (Ratangad Nedhe) – natural hole through it. The hole is some 3 m high and 10 m wide. A very old fortress has been built here – with the oldest structures up to 2,000 years old.
Konkan Kada
More than 900 m tall cliff. A beloved place for hiking, here can be observed vertical movements of clouds and other phenomena.
Yana Rocks
Very impressive group of unusual limestone rocks rising above the forest. Especially impressive are two rock formations – Bhairaveshwara Shikhara and the Mohini Shikhara, rising up to 120 m tall.
