Great Nowranie Cave
A cave that starts with a sinkhole. There have been researched 1,272 m of the cave passages (2003). Some 500 m of the cave have been flooded – water starts some 70 m below the ground level. Maximum depth – 148 m.
Leichhardt Falls
Several meters tall waterfall that at full water becomes quite wide.
Burketown Hot Spring Bore
This 702 m deep borehole was made in 1897 and there is gushing hot (68 °C), salty water from it. Now here stands some meters tall lime formation with water gushing from its summit.
Eliot Falls
Picturesque waterfall with several steps. One step of this waterfall has formed a ravine in the bedrock and at high water it falls all along one side of this “ravine”.
Donkin Falls
Some 90 m tall waterfall with a single plunge. The stream is perennial.
Giblin River Stromatolites
A rare colony of freshwater stromatolites in karstic wetlands of Giblin River. Stromatolites have developed on the karstic spring mounds.
The Temple Fig
Giant white fig (Ficus virens) that has a circumference of 19 m and is 36 m tall. If measured at the height of 1.4 m, the circumference is even 30.7 m! Crown of the tree is 45 m wide.
Paralana Radioactive Springs
Hot springs with a temperature of 57 degrees C, highly radioactive. The heat could be caused by the natural nuclear fission. Discharge – 16 l/s.
Big Mertens Falls
Some 60 m tall curtain of falling water over sandstone cliffs.
Shell Beach, L’Haridon Bight
One of the few beaches in the world that consists exclusively of shells. Here shells extend for 60 kilometers with a 7 -10 m thick layer.
