Niubizi tiankeng (Niubidong)
An enormous pit, one of Qingkou tiankengs. In this impressive sinkhole starts the 42 km long Er Wang Dong cave.
Rusumo Falls
Waterfall on Kagera River, approximately 40 m wide and 15 m tall.

Gorgeous, some 80 m tall, cascading waterfall with four or five main sections. At the first cascade is located sacred cave.
Dendrosenecio woodlands on Mt. Kilimanjaro
Just below the snow line of Mt. Kilimanjaro are located stands of highly unusual, up to 10 meters high plants that are endemic to Mt. Kilimanjaro: two species of Dendrosenecio.
Diana’s Peak National Park
One of the last remnants of natural St.Helena tree fern thicket – a unique biotope formed over millions of years on one of the most isolated islands of the world. Contains numerous endemic plant and animal species, including interesting tree species.
Drago Milenario
One of the most prominent trees in the world – a giant Canary Islands dragon tree with a circumference of at least 17.4 m.
Day Forest (Goda Mountains)
The largest forest in this area of Africa, the densest vegetated area in Djibouti. This isolated outlier of the Ethiopian montane forest contains several unique species, such as Djibouti francolin (Pternistis ochropectus, found also in the nearby Mabla Mountains), reptile Platyceps afarensis and other species. Dominant species – the East African juniper (Juniperus procera) that grows here up to 20 m high, forming a pure 3.5 km² large stand of single species.
Likhubula Falls
Powerful waterfall sliding down along granite cliff. Height: 12 – 15 m.
Lake Tele
Round freshwater lake deep in swampland and rainforest, possible impact crater. According to local stories in this lake and surrounding area lives mokèlé-mbèmbé – purported giant reptile. This remote area is very rich with rare species of plants and animals including a population of more than 120 thousand gorillas. Many other cryptids were reported, such as mahamba – giant crocodile.
Kalandula Falls
Falls of unusual beauty, up to 105 m tall and 410 m wide, some of the most powerful falls in Africa.
