Mauna Kea Observatory
Group of astronomical research facilities on the summit of Mauna Kea. In total there are 12 telescopes, each into separate buildings, some telescopes belong to the largest in the world. This is a special land use zone, named “Astronomy Precinct” and established in 1967. Summit of Mauna Kea is free of light pollution, there is low humidity and the atmospheric conditions, in general, are stable.
Iolani Palace
The only royal palace in the United States, constructed in 1879 by king Kamehameha V and used as a royal residence until 1893. Palace was built in a unique architectural style sometimes called – American Florentine style.
Aloha Tower
This unusual and beautiful lighthouse was built in Art Deco and Neo-Gothic style in 1925. It is 56 m high with additional 12 m tall flag mast.

A masterpiece of minimalist design for private houses. Constructed in 1959, with its architecture well ahead of the time.
San Francisco cable cars
The last manually operated system of cable cars in the world. Development started in 1873. Now remain three lines.

Large movie theater, built in Art Deco style in 1931. Ornate interior.
Mission Inn
Enormous hotel in Mission Revival Style, gradually extended in 1902 – 1935. The architecture of this complex is diverse, eclectic – and very lively and impressive.
Hollywood Sign
One of American cultural icons, 14 m tall letters "HOLLYWOOD". erected in 1923.
Hollyhock House (Aline Barnsdall Complex)
Private villa in Art Deco (Mayan Revival) style, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and built in 1919 – 1921. Also the furniture is designed by Wright.
