Aglona Basilica and monastery

The most important pilgrimage church in Latvia. This basilica was constructed in 1768 – 1780 together with a monastery.

Orakei Korako (Waipapa part)

One of the world’s most exciting geothermal fields with some 35 active geysers and beautiful stone waterfalls – several large sinter terraces.

Kadishi Waterfall

Approximately 200 m tall waterfall – one of the tallest falls over tufa deposits in the world. The cliff resembles a weeping skull.

Megiddo church

Remnants of one of the oldest known church (rather – a prayer hall) buildings. It was built in the 3rd century AD and there is found a fine mosaic floor with Greek inscription mentioning Jesus Christ.

St John Cantius Church

One of the most beautiful Polish churches in Chicago, built in 1898. There are several such Neo-Baroque – Neo-Renaissance style churches in Chicago and its vicinities. The interior of the church is especially ornate and even sumptuous.

Alapaha Rise

Alapaha Rise is the largest river rise in the United States with a discharge of 16,260 l/s.

Mooney Falls

Approximately 58 m tall waterfall in Havasu canyon. Around the falls are interesting tufa formations, below the falls have formed terraces.

Havasu Falls

A gorgeous, some 30 m tall waterfall in the narrow canyon of Havasu Creek. The water has an unusual blue color that contrasts with the red color of the cliffs. Below the falls are travertine terraces.

King George Falls

Spectacular, approximately 80 m tall falls. Especially impressive after heavy rain. Stream here is divided in two branches, thus forming two waterfalls.
