Naganeupseong

Late medieval village and castle. This village is a planned settlement that was built for administrative purposes and has a well-kept architecture and traditions. 231 traditional houses have been preserved. The village is surrounded by walls.

Hahoe Traditional Village

A traditional village from the 16th century. The village was built in accordance with the geomantic guidelines of pungsu and in the plan, it resembles a lotus flower. Local people have preserved here ancient shamanistic traditions, traditional architecture, and art traditions.

Gyeongju

The former capital of the Silla Kingdom. In the city are located numerous monuments of architecture and history and it is nicknamed “the museum without walls”.

Bukchon Hanok Village

Traditional village with original, approximately 600 years old network of streets and alleys. In the village have been preserved many hanok – traditional houses.

Daepyeong

A prehistoric settlement, inhabited in the time period between 3500 BC and 500 AD, one of the earliest permanent settlements in this region of Asia. This settlement has the oldest earthwork fortifications in East Asia (in the oldest layer) and was an early center of jewelry and pottery handicrafts.

Igeum-dong

Prehistoric settlement and necropolis with megaliths. Site was inhabited in 700 – 550 BC. Site includes 63 burials, including burials of high-ranked people and palisade. Interesting are remnants of two large raised-floor buildings.

Old Town of Funchal

The historical and present main city in Madeira started to develop around 1424. The narrow streets often are adorned with beautiful Portuguese stone sidewalks and lined with numerous historical buildings.

Historical center of Zacatecas

Well preserved colonial mining city with quarters of Baroque buildings. Located in beautiful, mountainous setting in both sides of valley.

Tlacotalpan

Beautiful, unique town that earlier was available only from the river. Specific urban planning techniques have been developed to adapt to local conditions, resulting in unique cultural landscape with low, beautiful, long buildings covered with terracotta tiles and wide streets with many large trees.

Historical center of Taxco

Impressive center of colonial silver mining town located in mountainous area. Besides the beautiful historical quarters it contains also the incredibly ornamented Santa Prisca Church (1758) with huge gold coated altars.
