Florence Court Yew
Irish Yew or Taxus baccata Fastigiata. This tree was planted around 1760-1780 and all the Irish Yews around the world originate from the saplings of this tree.
Nevado Sajama queñua woodlands: the highest-altitude forest
Possible world’s highest altitude forests. These sparse stands of low queñua (Polylepis tarapacana) trees grow up to the height of 5 000 m.
Defynnog Yew
The largest of the giant yews in Defynnog village and one of the largest in the British Islands with a circumference of some 10.06 m at ground level.

Veryovkina Cave
The deepest known cave in the world, 2 212 m deep. Discovered in 1968, but the full depth was reached in March 2018.
Discoed Yew
One of the largest yew trees in the British Islands. Its circumference is 11.28 m or 9.68 m, depending on the source of information.
Lava Cast Forest
Here some 6,000 years ago lava poured in a forest and as the molten stone surrounded the trunks of trees, it preserved the molds of these trees. Sometimes these holes contain even imprints of the tree bark, some charcoals.
Painted Hills
Spectacular outcroppings of colored rocks over a larger area. There are red-colored laterite outcroppings, dark-colored layers of lignite, and grey-colored mudstone, siltstone, and shale layers. Rocks contain many fossils of early horses, camels, and other animals.
Oregon Caves
Beautiful show caves that were discovered in 1874. Caves have formed in marble and through the cave system flows a river – River Styx. The total length of passages is around 4,600 m. The cave contains valuable fossils including remnants of a grizzly bear, jaguar, and others.
Sea Lion Caves
A system of enormous sea caves with up to 38 m tall ceilings. Here lives a group of Steller’s sea lions – during the winter there are hundreds of them. Discovered in 1880.
