A delightful weekend destination is Cecilu Nature Trails. As you walk along these trails towards the impressive Dzilnas Cliffs, you can take a moment to appreciate the small waterfall.
In this part of the Dančupīte River, just before it joins the Kumada River, a canyon has been carved into the sandstone rocks. Sometime before 2015, within this canyon, the waterfall we see today came into existence. Keep in mind that Devonian sandstone in Latvia is quite fragile, so it’s likely that this waterfall will continue to evolve in the future.
