Rigzemju Oak (Rīgzemju ozols)

The third-largest oak in Latvia by the circumference – in 2020 it had a circumference of 9.64 m.

Kanepu Oak (Kaņepu ozols)

Most likely, this picturesque tree is the second-largest oak in Latvia by circumference – in 2019 it reached 9.82 m.

Panagia Ekatontapyliani

Panagia Ekatontapyliani is a magnificent complex of a fortified church, baptistery, and chapels that are surrounded by a fortification wall. According to tradition, this might be the oldest existing church in Greece, initially constructed in 326 AD.

Csarite mine in Ilbir Mountains

The world’s only csarite mine. This variety of diaspore changes color: in daylight, it is yellowish green, and in incandescent light – reddish pink.

Hirlatz Cave (Hirlatzhöhle)

An enormous cave that is 115 870 m long and 1 560 m deep. It is one of the deepest caves in the world. The cave is not been fully explored yet.

Steinhatchee Rise

A resurgence of Steinhatchee River after some 0.6 km long underground section. The flow of the river there is around 9910 l/s.

Steinhatchee Falls

Small waterfall or rather a rock step in Steinhatchee River. The river there is some 20 m wide, the falls at low water are up to 0.8 m high, at high water they disappear.

Church of the Nativity with the Nativity Grotto

Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem might be the oldest continuously operating church in the world. It was first built around 326-330 AD or a bit later over the presumed birthplace of Jesus.
