In detail
This gorgeous white willow grows close to the northern border of its natural area. Nevertheless, this might be the largest tree in this species.
The circumference of Dzenisu Willos at the height of 0.5 m is 9.06 m (2010) – this is the narrowest part of its trunk. Further up the circumference increases – at 1.3 m it is 10.55 m! Further up the tree divides into some 20 enormous branches. Over the last decades, part of the branches has been lost.
Dzenisu Willow was planted approximately in 1880 by the owner of the nearby Bumvikuži farmstead in order to mark the border of land property.
